Andrew originally hails from Wales in the United Kingdom. He arrived in the early 90’s to the United States as an elite rugby player; playing, coaching and promoting the game across America and Canada. After some time and inevitable injuries, Andrew decided to turn his interest to cycling. In a few seasons he has enjoyed success and moved through the ranks to now race as a Category 1 on road and track. He has achieved success at the regional and national level and currently holds 17 state track titles, and 2 National silver medals.
Known predominantly as a sprinter, Andrew has been developing his riding skills to become a force in all disciplines of cycling. He has enjoyed success this season in all arenas from road races to track sprints. Andrew is looking to take his success one step further this season and add a national title to his 2007, 2008 silver medals.
Looking forward, Andrew is excited to build another great season with his team and to target select NRC races and the regional pro 1,2 race circuit. Andrew will compete with his team both regionally and nationally to try and achieve some notable results, on both road and track.
While dedicated to training, Andrew enjoys his time off the bike with his wife Randi, and son Beck, enjoying all of the outdoor fun that Asheville has to offer. He has been known to enjoy the excitement of the Ultimate Fighting Championships, reminiscent of his rugby days of old!
